Krzysztof "Krys" Cios, PhD, DSc,MBA

Dr. Cios directs Data Mining and Biomedical Informatics Lab. His research interests are in the areas of big data mining, machine learning, and biomedical informatics. He published three books and over 200 journals and conference papers. Dr. Cios has been the recipient of the Norbert Wiener Outstanding Paper Award, the Neurocomputing Best Paper Award, the University of Toledo Outstanding Faculty Research Award, and the Fulbright Senior Scholar Award. He graduated from King Jagiello High School. He received his M.S and Ph.D. degrees from the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, D.Sc. (habilitation) from the Polish Academy of Science, and MBA from the University of Toledo. Dr. Cios is a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
